First Hearing in Impeachment Proceedings Against President Yoon Suk-yeol Takes Place

On December 27, at 2 PM, the Constitutional Court of Korea held the first preparatory hearing for the impeachment trial of President Yoon Suk-yeol in Jongno-gu, Seoul. Constitutional Court Justices Jeong Hyung-sik (left) and Lee Mi-sun were present for the proceedings. The National Assembly's representatives called for a swift removal of the president, while Yoon's legal team remained silent on the matter. Attorney Seok Dong-hyun, who is assisting in forming Yoon's defense team, announced the appointment of lawyers Kim Hong-il, Bae Bo-yoon, and Yoon Gap-geun as representatives in the impeachment trial.
