Female BJ Sentenced to 7 Years for Blackmailing Kim Junsu

A female BJ from Africa TV has been sentenced to seven years in prison for blackmailing singer and musical actor Kim Junsu, extorting over 800 million KRW. On February 6, the Uijeongbu District Court's Criminal Division 11, presided over by Judge Oh Chang-seop, found the woman, identified as A, guilty under the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes. The court stated, 'The defendant recorded private conversations and took photos of the victim, then decided to extort money when their relationship deteriorated.' A admitted to her actions, and the evidence presented was deemed sufficient for a guilty verdict. The court noted the severity of the crime, the duration of the offenses, and the amount of money involved, emphasizing that the victim suffered both economically and psychologically, and requested a harsh sentence. Prosecutors had previously sought a seven-year sentence, stating that A threatened Kim Junsu via social media, demanding money in a total of 101 instances, amounting to approximately 840 million KRW. A's actions began in September 2020, after she met Kim Junsu in 2019. She recorded their conversations and threatened to leak the recordings on social media unless she received money, reportedly to fund her drug use. Kim Junsu expressed that he endured five years of threats and extortion, suffering greatly during this time. His agency, Palm Tree Island, emphasized that A exploited Kim Junsu's celebrity status to continue her threats, acknowledging that he had done nothing wrong and asserting that he is clearly a victim in this case.
