Farewell Ceremony Held for Late Singer Wheesung
On the morning of March 16, 2025, a farewell ceremony for the late singer Wheesung (휘성) took place at the Samsung Medical Center in Gangnam, Seoul. Wheesung was found deceased at his home on March 10, at the age of 43. The exact cause of death has not yet been determined, with the National Forensic Service reporting an initial finding of 'cause unknown.'
Wheesung debuted in 2002 with his first album 'Like A Movie' and went on to release numerous hit songs, including '안되나요' (Can’t We), '전할 수 없는 이야기' (A Story I Can’t Tell), 'With Me', '다시 만난 날' (The Day We Meet Again), '일년이면' (In a Year), 'I’m Missing You', '결혼까지 생각했어' (I Even Thought About Marriage), '가슴 시린 이야기' (A Heart-Wrenching Story), '너라는 명작' (A Masterpiece Called You), '불치병' (Incurable Disease), '주르륵' (Drip), and '사랑은 맛있다' (Love is Delicious).
Family members of the late Wheesung were seen entering the venue for the ceremony.
