Faker Donates to Seoul Trauma Center Development Fund

Professional gamer Lee Sang-hyeok, known as Faker, has made a donation to the development fund of the Seoul Regional Trauma Center, as announced by the National Medical Center on June 20, 2025. The day before, the National Medical Center presented Faker with a plaque of appreciation during a ceremony held in their main conference room, where they also discussed the current operations, achievements, and future plans of the trauma center, which is the only one of its kind in Seoul.

Faker expressed his awareness of the critical role trauma centers play in essential healthcare and his ongoing commitment to supporting public health initiatives. He stated, "I have always felt the importance of trauma centers in the essential medical field and have maintained an interest in and willingness to donate to the advancement of public healthcare. Through this donation, I hope that more people, including eSports fans, recognize the role and significance of trauma centers and develop a positive perception of essential medical care."

The exact amount of the donation has not been disclosed following discussions. The National Medical Center plans to engrave Faker's name on the donation wall located on the first floor of the main building.

Faker is a five-time champion of the League of Legends World Championship and has been recognized for his outstanding performance over the past decade. Last year, he was inducted as an inaugural member into the 'Hall of Legends' established by Riot Games, the developer of League of Legends.
