EXO's Baekhyun Sets New Milestones as a Solo Artist

Baekhyun of EXO is marking a significant milestone in his career as a solo artist. Following the release of his fifth mini-album, 'Essence of Reverie,' on May 19, he has received enthusiastic responses from fans both domestically and internationally, achieving remarkable success across various fronts, including his first world tour since debut.

On June 3, Billboard announced that Baekhyun's new album made its debut on four different charts in the latest rankings (dated June 7). He secured the top spot on the 'Emerging Artists' chart, reached fourth place on the 'Top Album Sales' chart, and landed at 35th on the 'Billboard Artist 100.' Notably, he also entered the 'Billboard 200' at 121st, marking a significant achievement for a Korean solo artist.

This is Baekhyun's first entry into the main Billboard charts, signaling a positive outlook as he prepares for his North American tour and further activities in the U.S.

His music and album sales have also been impressive. Upon release, the album topped the iTunes Top Album chart in 24 regions worldwide, while the title track 'Elevator' reached number one on the Top Song chart in 14 regions, showcasing broad support from global listeners.

Additionally, the album's initial sales surpassed 1 million copies within just three days of its release. This achievement continues Baekhyun's streak of 'four consecutive million-seller' albums, starting from his second mini-album 'Delight' in 2020, followed by his third and fourth mini-albums released in 2021 and 2024, respectively.

As of 2025, this album has recorded the highest sales among all male and female solo artists who have made comebacks this year.

Baekhyun's global influence is also evident in his concert success. His first solo world tour, 'Reverie,' kicked off with sold-out performances in Seoul on June 7 and 8, attracting over 23,000 attendees across two days, demonstrating his strong ticket sales power.

The first overseas concert in São Paulo, Brazil (June 14-15) also sold out quickly, and due to high demand from fans, an additional performance has been added.

Through this mini-album and the Seoul concerts, Baekhyun has solidified his unique genre and established himself firmly as a global solo artist. With his musical quality, ticket power, and connection with fans, expectations for Baekhyun's future endeavors continue to grow.
