Eun Ga-eun's Agency Responds to Contract Termination Reports: Claims Overpayment and No Schedule Disruptions

TSM Entertainment, the agency representing Eun Ga-eun, has issued a statement regarding recent reports about the termination of her exclusive contract. On November 28, the agency expressed regret for having to address what they termed 'unfortunate news.' They clarified that as of this date, they have not received any official termination notice or legal documents, and they only learned about the alleged termination through media reports.
In response to claims regarding unpaid settlement amounts, TSM Entertainment firmly stated that they have not underpaid Eun Ga-eun in any way. They noted that a recent review of the accounts revealed that the agency had, in fact, overpaid her. Furthermore, they mentioned that they have consistently supported her requests for loans and other financial assistance beyond her settlement payments.
The agency highlighted that in February 2024, both parties signed a confirmation document affirming that there were no violations of contractual obligations, including those related to settlements. Since then, TSM has diligently fulfilled its payment responsibilities without any omissions.
TSM Entertainment also pointed out that they provide detailed settlement payment records monthly. They addressed Eun Ga-eun's specific requests for verification, stating that they had compiled and delivered comprehensive documentation just last week. They refuted claims that they had failed to provide necessary evidence, labeling such assertions as blatant falsehoods.
The agency strongly denied any allegations of changing statements, disrupting schedules, or exhibiting negligence in their duties. They further mentioned that they have been reviewing the facts and relevant materials with their legal advisor, Lee Young-wook, confirming that they have adhered to the contract faithfully.
Additionally, TSM Entertainment revealed that they mutually agreed with Eun Ga-eun in February 2024 to extend her contract until June 2028, with a plan to gradually increase her revenue share.
In conclusion, the agency expressed hope that similar incidents, which they believe are influenced by external tampering, do not occur again, especially as Eun Ga-eun continues to grow and thrive in her career since her debut in 2013. She gained significant recognition after placing seventh in TV Chosun's Miss Trot 2 (내일은 미스트롯2) in 2022 and recently announced her engagement to younger trot singer Park Hyun-ho, with plans to marry in April 2024.
