Eun Ga-eun Breaks Silence on Contract Termination with Agency Amid Payment Disputes

Singer Eun Ga-eun has expressed her complex feelings after notifying her agency of the termination of her exclusive contract due to issues related to payment delays, schedule disruptions, and negligence. On December 3, she took to her personal social media to share, "I should only be delivering good news... I'm sorry for causing concern. I have trusted my agency and endured, even if it meant taking some losses, hoping we could work well together."
She continued, "While the payment issue is significant, the conflict with my agency began due to their lazy and careless management, which led to ongoing problems not only with broadcasting stations but also with senior artists and composers. I realized too late that the agency, which should have protected me, made me appear uncontactable and rude to important people in my career."
Last month, through her lawyer, Eun Ga-eun stated, "There are still inappropriate practices, such as unfair contracts and withholding payments, taking advantage of the artist's lack of information and experience. We will rectify this and take all necessary legal actions."
In response, her agency, TSM Entertainment, refuted her claims, stating, "We have not withheld any payments. Recent checks revealed that we may have overpaid, and we have diligently supported Eun Ga-eun's requests for loans beyond her payments."
Despite this, Eun Ga-eun told her fans, "The payment issues have existed for a long time... Throughout the contract period, I never received payments on the scheduled dates. There were constant delays, and I never even saw a single receipt for expenses. I had to accept whatever money was given to me without question, believing that was how it should be. I endured this for five years."
She added, "After this situation arose, the agency hurriedly made a payment after claiming to the media that they had never withheld payments. This was after false articles had already circulated. The agency turned me into a liar through media manipulation. I still haven't received any proof of payment... Am I not entitled to know how the money I worked hard for was spent?"
It appears that both parties will resolve their contract issues through legal proceedings. Eun Ga-eun's legal representative, Im Sa-ra, informed OSEN, "We have sent a notice of contract termination via certified mail and are preparing to file for a provisional injunction to terminate the contract."
Eun Ga-eun expressed her concern for those who trust her with work, stating, "I am working hard to manage everything alone to avoid causing trouble for those who believe in me. I truly did not want this issue to escalate and hoped for an amicable resolution. It has been incredibly difficult. I have worked hard to reach this point, and more than anything, I want to share good music and show my best self to you all. I apologize for not being able to only show you the good side of me."
