Eugene and Ki Tae-young Reveal Real Reason for Leaving 'The Return of Superman'

Eugene (유진) and Ki Tae-young (기태영) have opened up about their decision to exit the popular reality show, The Return of Superman (슈퍼맨이 돌아왔다). In a recent video on their YouTube channel, 'Eugene vs. Tae-young' (유진VS태영), titled 'How to Educate Our Two Elementary School Daughters,' the couple discussed their parenting experiences.

During the video, the production team raised concerns about their children being exposed to media from a young age, asking if there were any issues. Ki Tae-young responded, acknowledging that while there weren't major problems, he felt there were some negative effects from their time on the show. He noted, "When we were on the show for a long time, it seemed like there were some side effects, especially for our daughter Rohee (로희)." Eugene agreed, stating, "It was the beginning of the side effects."

Ki Tae-young expressed his concern about how people interacted with Rohee, saying, "Since she was a baby, people would come up to her, open the stroller, and get too close. As a result, Rohee started to cover her face whenever we went outside, which was quite sad to see."

Eugene elaborated on their decision to stop their children's appearances on the show, explaining, "Rohee seemed uncomfortable and didn't like it, so we decided to stop. However, now it seems like she enjoys it. When she was younger, she would ask, 'Mom, do all the people in Korea know me?' Now that she's older, she seems to find it fascinating and doesn't think negatively about it."
