ENHYPEN Takes Strong Stance Against Stalking Incidents

On June 30, BELIFT LAB, the agency representing the K-pop group ENHYPEN, announced a firm response to recent stalking incidents involving their artists. The agency reported that unauthorized individuals had trespassed into the artists' accommodation and illegally filmed them, which constitutes serious stalking behavior. In response, BELIFT LAB immediately reported the matter to the police for violations of trespassing and stalking laws, leading to the arrest of the suspects who are currently under investigation.
BELIFT LAB emphasized their commitment to ensuring that the perpetrators face legal consequences, stating that they are cooperating fully with the investigation. They also declared a zero-tolerance policy against actions such as selling personal information or repeatedly contacting the artists using illegally obtained phone numbers or addresses, regardless of the nationality of the offenders.
Furthermore, the agency warned of legal actions against malicious defamation, the spread of false information, and identity fraud related to fan event participation.
In their official statement, BELIFT LAB expressed gratitude to the fans, known as ENGENEs, for their unwavering support. They reiterated their previous requests for the cessation of privacy invasions, noting that despite multiple warnings, the situation has worsened, causing significant mental and physical distress to the artists. As a result, they are prepared to take all necessary measures, including legal action, to protect their artists.
The agency outlined their legal strategies in three key areas:
1. **Legal Action Against Stalking and Privacy Violations**: BELIFT LAB reported serious stalking incidents, including unauthorized entry and illegal filming, to the police. They are actively cooperating with law enforcement to ensure appropriate punishment for the offenders.
2. **Legal Action Against Defamation and False Information**: The agency is continuously monitoring various online platforms for harmful posts and comments that defame the artists. They have gathered evidence and are pursuing legal action against those responsible for spreading malicious content.
3. **Legal Action Against Identity Fraud in Fan Events**: With an increase in cases of identity fraud for fan event participation, BELIFT LAB stated that those caught engaging in such activities would be banned from future events and could face criminal charges.
BELIFT LAB encouraged fans to report any malicious posts or threats to the artists through their designated reporting site, ensuring that all reports are handled with the utmost seriousness. They reaffirmed their commitment to holding all offenders accountable without leniency or settlement, regardless of their nationality. The agency expressed deep appreciation for the continued love and support from ENGENEs and pledged to prioritize the protection of their artists' rights.
