On the afternoon of May 24, 2025, G-DRAGON (권지용) was seen departing from Gimpo International Airport en route to Osaka, Japan. The iconic artist is set to kick off a major tour starting May 25, which will take him to a total of 11 cities across Asia, including Osaka, Macau, Taipei, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Hong Kong, Bangkok, as well as Sydney and Melbourne.

G-DRAGON Departs for Osaka Ahead of Asia Tour

A man in his sixties has been sentenced to five years in prison by the Cheongju District Court for driving under the influence and causing three separate accidents. The presiding judge, Jeong Hee-cheol, announced the verdict on May 24, 2025. 

The defendant, identified as A, was found guilty of operating a vehicle while heavily intoxicated from 2 PM to 6:35 PM on November 8, 2024, in the Seowon District of Cheongju. During this time, he collided with other vehicles on three occasions, resulting in injuries to four individuals, including the drivers and passengers, who suffered injuries requiring two to three weeks of recovery.

Following the accidents, A fled the scene without providing assistance and was apprehended by police later that evening at approximately 9:08 PM. 

This was not A's first offense; he had been caught driving drunk just two days prior in Cheongju and had a previous record of a hit-and-run incident in September 2024 in Jongno, Seoul. 

Judge Jeong noted that A showed a lack of remorse by continuing to drive recklessly after causing multiple accidents on the same day. The judge also considered the fact that the victims had not received any form of apology or restitution when determining the sentence.

피고인 A는 2024년 11월 8일 오후 2시부터 6시 35분까지 청주 서원구에서 심하게 취한 상태로 차량을 운전한 혐의로 유죄 판결을 받았다. 이 시간 동안 그는 세 차례에 걸쳐 다른 차량과 충돌하여 운전자와 승객을 포함한 네 명이 부상을 입었고, 이들은 회복에 2주에서 3주가 필요했다.

사고 후 A는 도움을 주지 않고 현장을 떠났으며, 그날 저녁 약 9시 8분에 경찰에 의해 체포되었다.

A는 이번이 처음이 아닌 범죄로, 청주에서 단 이틀 전 음주 운전으로 적발되었고, 2024년 9월 서울 종로에서 발생한 뺑소니 사건의 전과가 있었다.

정 판사는 A가 같은 날 여러 사고를 일으킨 후에도 무모하게 운전하는 모습을 보이며 반성의 기미를 보이지 않았다고 언급했다. 또한 판사는 피해자들이 어떤 형태의 사과나 보상을 받지 못한 사실을 고려하여 형량을 결정했다.

The girl group i-dle (아이들) stirred nostalgia for the second generation of K-pop idols with their captivating performance of 'Good Thing'. The members, consisting of Miyeon (미연), Minnie (민니), Soyeon (소연), Yuqi (우기), and Shuhua (슈화), showcased their impressive live skills on the KBS2 show 'The Seasons - Park Bogum's Cantabile' aired on May 23. 

The episode, themed 'No Break, Keep Going!', kicked off with their debut track 'LATATA', which received an enthusiastic response from the audience. Following this, they delivered powerful renditions of their hit songs 'Queencard (퀸카)' and 'TOMBOY', engaging the crowd by passing the microphone to fans during the song's key parts, creating a unified sing-along experience. 

MC Park Bogum praised the group for their musicality, noting that they not only perform but also actively plan their album concepts and musical direction. Soyeon responded, stating, "Since it's our team's song, it seems that the members writing it brings out the best results," adding that all members contributed to the songwriting and composition of their new album 'We are'. 

Before their performance of 'Good Thing', a humorous connection between Yuqi and Park Bogum was revealed. Yuqi shared, "Actually, there was a mission. My English teacher is the same person as Park Bogum's. (The teacher) asked me to tell you to start taking lessons!" This light-hearted moment brought laughter to the set. The group then delivered a stunning live performance of 'Good Thing', reinterpreted with a band sound, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of a concert. 

Additionally, i-dle is set to perform 'Good Thing' and their pre-released track 'Girlfriend' on MBC's 'Show! Music Core' today (May 24).

걸그룹 아이들(아이들)이 '굿 띵'의 매력적인 퍼포먼스로 K-팝 2세대 아이돌에 대한 향수를 불러일으켰다. 미연(미연), 민니(민니), 소연(소연), 우기(우기), 슈화(슈화)로 구성된 멤버들은 5월 23일 방송된 KBS2의 '시즌 - 박보검의 칸타빌레'에서 인상적인 라이브 실력을 선보였다.

'굿 띵'의 공연 전에 우기와 박보검 사이의 유머러스한 연결이 드러났다. 우기는 "사실 미션이 있었다. 내 영어 선생님이 박보검의 선생님과 같은 분이다. (선생님이) 너에게 수업을 시작하라고 전해달라고 하셨다!"고 말했다. 이 가벼운 순간은 세트에 웃음을 가져왔다. 이후 그룹은 밴드 사운드로 재해석된 '굿 띵'의 멋진 라이브 공연을 선보이며 콘서트를 연상시키는 분위기를 만들어냈다.

또한, 아이들은 오늘(5월 24일) MBC의 '쇼! 음악중심'에서 '굿 띵'과 사전 공개된 곡 '여자친구'를 공연할 예정이다.
