ENHYPEN Achieves Platinum Certification in Japan with 'DESIRE: UNLEASH'

K-pop group ENHYPEN has added another achievement to their growing list with their mini album 'DESIRE: UNLEASH'. According to the Japan Record Association on July 10, the album, released on June 5, has surpassed 250,000 copies in cumulative shipments, earning it a Platinum certification. The Japan Record Association categorizes certifications based on cumulative shipments, with Gold (100,000), Platinum (250,000), and Double Platinum (500,000) designations.

This marks ENHYPEN's 14th Gold certification overall. Notably, they have achieved Platinum status for three consecutive albums, including their second studio album 'ROMANCE: UNTOLD' and its repackaged version 'ROMANCE: UNTOLD -daydream-', showcasing their immense popularity in Japan.

Upon its release, 'DESIRE: UNLEASH' dominated major Japanese music charts, topping the Oricon Daily Album Ranking, Weekly Album Ranking, and Weekly Combined Album Ranking, as well as Billboard Japan's Hot Albums, Top Album Sales, and Download Albums categories, totaling six number-one spots. The album also made a significant impact on the Oricon 'First Half Ranking 2025', entering the Top 10 in both Combined Album Ranking and Album Ranking within just three days of its release.

Beyond Japan, the album has also made waves on domestic and international charts. It recorded 2.14 million copies in first-week sales, making it the second highest-selling K-pop album released this year, and topped the Hanteo Chart and Circle Chart weekly album charts. Additionally, it debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 chart (dated June 21), maintaining its position for four consecutive weeks.

Following the success of their mini album, ENHYPEN is set to continue their active promotions in Japan this summer. They will release their fourth Japanese single '宵 -YOI-' (Yoi) on July 29. The title track 'Shine On Me', which was pre-released on July 4, is featured as the ending theme for the Japanese drama 'I Want to Catch a Shrimp (海老だってが釣りたい)', gaining significant popularity.

ENHYPEN will also continue their 'ENHYPEN WORLD TOUR 'WALK THE LINE' IN JAPAN -SUMMER EDITION-' with performances at Osaka's Yanmar Stadium Nagai on August 2-3, following their shows at Tokyo's Ajinomoto Stadium on July 5-6. They have made history as the fastest overseas artist to perform at a Japanese stadium within just 4 years and 7 months since their debut, leaving a strong impression as 'Performance Kings' during their Tokyo concert.
