Emotional Rescue in '지금 거신 전화는' as Yoo Yeon-seok Races to Save Chae Soo-bin

In the latest episode of MBC's new Friday-Saturday drama '지금 거신 전화는' (Currently, the Call You Are Making), Yoo Yeon-seok's character, Baek Sa-eon, is seen desperately rushing to save Chae Soo-bin's character, Hong Hee-joo, who is in a perilous situation. The episode aired on December 14, 2024, and showcased the characters beginning to reveal their true feelings to one another.

Baek Sa-eon realizes that the identity of '406' is none other than Hong Hee-joo. He reflects on his past, stating, "I thought I was someone who could control situations and make rational decisions to avoid traps. But why didn’t I see it? Looking back, there were more than one or two hints. Perhaps I was just ignoring them. I should have prepared myself emotionally."

As the conversation with '406' continues, Baek Sa-eon shares a haunting memory from his childhood, saying, "I often had nightmares. Back then, the only thing that calmed me was the sign language practice of the girl next door. Her home felt like a prison, and I wanted to help her escape. Little did I know, I would become Hee-joo's prison."

Now, Baek Sa-eon no longer desires a divorce; he wants to be with Hong Hee-joo. He even attends a workshop with her, but chaos ensues when an assailant pushes Hong Hee-joo off a cliff. With her phone inoperable except for the one belonging to '406', she has no choice but to call Baek Sa-eon using that phone.

Upon answering, Baek Sa-eon exclaims, "Hee-joo!" before quickly asking, "Are you with Hee-joo?" He urgently informs her, "I placed a kit in your backpack. There’s a flare. I hope you find it and use it. What do you think about '406'?" As the flare is launched, viewers see Baek Sa-eon running in tears, desperate to reach her.
