Dr. Oh Eun-young Expresses Outrage on 'My Little Baby'
On December 27, during an episode of Channel A's 'My Little Baby' (요즘 육아 금쪽같은 내 새끼), Dr. Oh Eun-young displayed unprecedented anger while delivering a stern warning to the mother of a child named Geumjok.
The episode featured a scene where Geumjok's mother attempted to tidy up his room, only for Geumjok to demand she leave, stating, "I prefer playing alone" and "I like making things by myself." This rejection of his mother during a time when he typically seeks her company raised eyebrows.
Dr. Oh expressed her confusion over Geumjok's behavior, prompting the mother to respond childishly, "I don’t like you either." Geumjok retorted, "Who are you to take my things?" as the mother began to organize his toys without his consent.
The mother insisted, "I like things to be clean. Your feelings don’t matter to me," which led Geumjok to throw toys at her. In a surprising outburst, the mother shouted, "Get out, this is my house!" startling those around them.
Geumjok yelled back, and the mother told him to "live like a fool," to which he ominously replied, "I will kill you." He then left the room to ask his father to report his mother and have her arrested.
The father advised Geumjok that fighting with his mother wouldn’t yield any benefits, while the mother remarked, "He’s a strange child."
Dr. Oh questioned how the situation had escalated, asking if this was typical behavior. The mother explained that when Geumjok doesn’t listen and is stubborn, she resorts to what she called 'mirror therapy.' She expressed her concern for his solitary play, stating she wanted to teach him how to play together, but felt upset when he resisted.
Dr. Oh noted that Geumjok is at an age where he wants to monopolize his mother’s attention, yet he was pushing her away, indicating he does not view her as a safe figure. She pondered the reasons behind this perception.
Additionally, the episode showcased the mother being excessively forceful in teaching her four-year-old son Hangul, which Dr. Oh labeled as emotional child abuse. She firmly advised the mother against raising her child, stating, "If you don’t change, I will report you."
