Korean dog trainer Kang Hyung-wook recently shared surprising news on his YouTube channel. In a video titled "Thank You for Everything, My Dream Camper Van... The Latest Update on the Camper Van I Bought Without My Wife Knowing," he revealed that he purchased his dream camper van two years ago but regrettably has never used it for camping. He disclosed that the van has been sitting unused in a parking lot for the past six months.
In the video, Kang stated, "Do you not remember buying this? Didn't I tell you how happy I was to get it? It's time to let it go now," as he announced his plans to find a new owner for the camper van. He described the vehicle as a great asset, featuring a rooftop tent and three dog kennels, but admitted that he has only gone camping three times since acquiring it, noting that he hasn't camped as much as he expected.
When asked about the cost, Kang revealed that the dog kennels were approximately 6 million won, the furniture around 20 million won, and the rooftop tent about 6 million won, totaling around 35 million won.
Reflecting on the decision to sell, he expressed some sadness, jokingly responding to the production team's suggestion of a farewell trip by saying, "It's tough. It's cold. And I prefer hotels."
In related news, Kang Hyung-wook faced allegations last year from former employees of his company, Bodum Company, who accused him and his wife of workplace misconduct, including unauthorized access to private messages. They filed a complaint with the police, arguing that even if it was a company messenger, accessing and sharing personal messages without consent constitutes a breach of privacy.
Kang stated that he would be willing to apologize for any wrongdoing if given the opportunity, but he also mentioned that he is aware of the many unfounded rumors and slander circulating about him. Following an investigation, the Northern Gyeonggi Cyber Investigation Unit decided not to pursue charges against Kang and his wife, clearing them of the allegations of unauthorized access to company messages.
