Do Ji-hye Discusses Lawsuit Against Ex-Husband's Mistress on 'High School Mom and Dad 5'

On November 27, during the broadcast of MBN's 'High School Mom and Dad 5' (어른들은 모르는 고딩엄빠5), Do Ji-hye opened up about her ex-husband's infidelity. The episode featured her story as a single mother raising her child alone.

Do Ji-hye revealed that she became a mother at the age of 19, while her husband frequently disappeared and showed little interest in parenting. As a result, she is now raising their child on her own after their divorce.

She expressed her frustration, stating, "While my child and I are struggling, it seems he is happily dating another woman, which has led me to consider legal action." According to her, her ex-husband has been seeing another woman since June 2021, even though their divorce was finalized in October of the same year, indicating he had been unfaithful for four months.

"I feel upset about how irresponsible and indifferent he is as a father," she said. Do Ji-hye mentioned that she has received advice on pursuing a lawsuit against the mistress, stating, "I was told that I could potentially file a lawsuit if I have evidence of the affair."

She recounted an incident where a friend messaged the mistress, who responded by asking if she was the ex-wife, suggesting that the mistress was aware of the situation. A lawyer confirmed that as long as there is evidence of infidelity, a lawsuit could proceed.

Do Ji-hye noted that she only recently discovered the existence of the mistress and criticized her ex-husband for continuing to evade responsibility while refusing to finalize their divorce. She described his actions as abandoning both her and their son while engaging in an affair, which sparked outrage among viewers.

Despite attempting to reach her ex-husband by phone, he has not responded. She introduced her son, Rohan, who is in the first grade, describing him as "the most lovable child in the world who helps his mom a lot."

Currently, Do Ji-hye receives 500,000 KRW in child support from her ex-husband, but he failed to pay for the first year after their divorce. She has sought to collect the overdue child support by trying to locate him but has been unsuccessful.
