Disney+ Unveils Exciting December Lineup with 'Dream Production' and 'Mufasa: The Lion King'

Disney+ is set to launch its first original series from Pixar, 'Dream Production', alongside the highly anticipated series '조명가게' (Lighting Store) this December. Additionally, the platform will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the beloved animated classic with the release of 'Mufasa: The Lion King'.

'Dream Production' follows the adventures of 'Riley', the protagonist from the 'Inside Out' series, as she navigates the whimsical world of dream creation when she falls asleep. Set between 'Inside Out' and 'Inside Out 2', the series showcases the unique process of crafting dreams within a set budget and timeframe. Directed by Mike Jones, who has contributed to Pixar hits like 'Toy Story 4' and 'Coco', this series promises to deliver a blend of creativity and humor as 'Riley' collaborates with the seasoned director 'Paula' and the ambitious MZ director 'Jenny'. Their contrasting styles raise the question of whether they can create the ultimate dream together.

On December 4, Disney+ will premiere '조명가게' (Lighting Store), a mystery series that revolves around a peculiar shop at the end of a dark alley, where customers with hidden secrets come to visit. This series is the fifth installment in Kang Pool's 'Mystery Psychological Thriller' collection and is based on a popular webtoon that has garnered over 150 million views. Following the success of 'Moving', Kang Pool returns as the writer, while actor Kim Hee-won, known for his impressive performance in 'Moving', makes his directorial debut. The cast features a star-studded lineup, including Ju Ji-hoon, Park Bo-young, Bae Sung-woo, and more, who will bring the enigmatic characters surrounding the 'Lighting Store' to life.

Lastly, 'Mufasa: The Lion King', a prequel to the record-breaking live-action adaptation of 'The Lion King', is generating buzz as it commemorates the 30th anniversary of the original animated film. This story follows the journey of a young lion, 'Mufasa', who, after meeting his destined heir 'Taka (Scar)', embarks on a legendary quest to become the king of the wild.
