Director Woo Min-ho Reflects on Challenges of 'Harbin' After 'The Man Standing Next'

Director Woo Min-ho shared the inspiration behind his latest film 'Harbin' during a production briefing held on November 27 at CGV Yongsan I-Park Mall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. He revealed, "After finishing 'The Man Standing Next', I was so exhausted that I vowed never to work on a period drama again. However, after reading the writings of Ahn Jung-geun and the screenplay from Hive Media Corp, I felt compelled to take on this project. I instinctively knew it would be the most challenging work I had directed so far, and I prepared myself accordingly."

Set to be released on December 25, 'Harbin' is a gripping tale of pursuit and suspicion among those heading to Harbin in 1909 for a common goal, as well as those who are in pursuit of them. Woo Min-ho, known for his previous works including 'The Outlaws' and 'The Man Standing Next', takes the helm for this highly anticipated film, which has already garnered international acclaim following its screening at the 49th Toronto International Film Festival, positioning it as one of the most awaited films this winter.
