Director and Actor Ha Jung-woo Undergoes Emergency Surgery for Appendicitis

Ha Jung-woo, the director and lead actor of the film 'Lobby' (로비), has been hospitalized for an emergency surgery due to acute appendicitis. As a result, he will not be attending the film's press screening, media conference, or promotional events scheduled for today.
On March 25, the production team of 'Lobby' announced via their official social media that Ha was en route to fulfill his official schedule when he was diagnosed with acute appendicitis and required immediate surgery.
The statement continued, "Although Ha Jung-woo was eager to participate in the events, the doctor's advice indicated that it was impossible for him to attend the press screening, media conference, and promotional events for 'Lobby' today due to his condition."
The team reassured fans that all scheduled events will proceed as planned with the other cast members, and they expressed their sincere apologies to journalists, industry professionals, and audience members attending the film today. They also wished for Ha Jung-woo's swift recovery.
'Lobby' tells the story of a startup CEO, played by Ha Jung-woo, who embarks on his first lobbying golf experience to secure a 4 trillion won government project. This film marks Ha Jung-woo's third directorial effort.
The cast includes Kim Eui-sung, Kang Hae-rim, Lee Dong-hwi, Park Byung-eun, Kang Mal-geum, Choi Si-won, Cha Joo-young, Park Hae-soo, and Kwak Sun-young. 'Lobby' is set to hit theaters on April 2.
