Dex Reveals Challenges Faced During Filming of 'Taekyung Ilju'

Dex recently opened up about the difficulties he encountered while filming the reality show 'Taekyung Ilju' during an episode of 'Si-eon’s Cool'. In a video titled 'Goodbye Newlywed House... Hello Co-Ownership New House!! Han Hye-jin Moves in with Dex and Talks About 'Taekyung Ilju' Behind the Scenes', he shared his experiences with fellow cast member Lee Si-eon.

When Si-eon playfully asked, 'Isn't my charm amazing?', Dex responded, 'Absolutely! I really felt that during 'Taekyung Ilju'. But once he opens up, he turns into a bit of a tsundere.' He recounted moments when Si-eon would encourage him, saying, 'Dex, are you struggling? Just hang in there a little longer.'

Han Hye-jin, surprised, chimed in, 'Why don’t you say that to me? I’m struggling too!' To which Si-eon humorously replied, 'Because 'Taekyung Ilju' is incredibly tough. Even UDT (Dex) was on the verge of tears.'

Dex admitted, 'I almost said I was going home while filming 'Taekyung Ilju'.' Si-eon added a funny anecdote about a night when they were drinking on the beach after the kids had gone to bed, where Dex insisted, 'UDT doesn’t do this. No way, I’m not sleeping on the ground!'

Reflecting on the experience, Dex noted, 'Everyone prefers clean places. Who likes the wilderness? Except for Gyan, I don’t think anyone does.' He also expressed gratitude towards Si-eon, saying, 'Towards the end, everyone was exhausted, including me. At that point, Si-eon, the eldest, would make silly comments like, 'Hey Dex, look at that, isn’t that a dolphin?' even when there was nothing in the water. It was really annoying, but I appreciated it. He truly is the big brother.'

Si-eon humorously remarked, 'Your expression was like you were ready to shoot us all if you had a gun. I thought, 'Oh no, he shouldn’t be like that.' To which Dex joked, 'If I had a spear, I would have stabbed someone.'

Both Dex and Si-eon appeared together in the third season of MBC's reality show 'Born to be World Tour', which concluded on February 4, 2024.
