Daughter Arrested for Allegedly Killing Elderly Mother in Busan

A 50-year-old woman has been urgently arrested by the Haeundae Police Station in Busan on charges of killing her elderly mother, who was in her 80s. The incident occurred on July 7, 2025, when the victim, identified as B, was found bleeding and unconscious in her apartment in the U-dong area around 9:19 AM by her caregiver, who promptly reported the situation. Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, B was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

Police reviewed surveillance footage and confirmed that A, the daughter, was seen leaving B's residence that morning. As the investigation progressed, A's husband reported that she returned home with blood on her hands and mentioned having had an argument with her mother.

Within two hours of the incident, authorities apprehended A as a primary suspect. Initial findings suggest that A may have fatally assaulted her mother during a dispute. It has been noted that A and B lived separately, and no other signs of abuse were found on B.
