Crisis Unfolds for Go Hyun-jung and Ryeo-woon in 'Namib'

In the latest episode of the Genie TV original drama 'Namib' aired on December 30, 2024, characters Go Hyun-jung (강수현) and Ryeo-woon (유진우) find themselves in precarious situations. The episode delves into the troubled past of Yu Jin-woo (려운), who was taken in as a trainee by Kang Soo-hyun (고현정). However, Yu Jin-woo struggles to keep up, resulting in him resorting to bribing other students with idol merchandise to obtain their notes.

Meanwhile, Kang Soo-hyun seeks out Yu Jin-woo's aunt after receiving a call from Pandora Entertainment regarding Yu Jin-woo's reflection paper. She introduces herself and expresses her wish to learn more about Yu Jin-woo, emphasizing the importance of understanding his character and circumstances to help him succeed. Yu Jin-woo's aunt, however, is skeptical, questioning whether someone like Yu Jin-woo can truly become a star. She also asks if Kang Soo-hyun can guarantee that knowing more about Yu Jin-woo won't harm him. Kang Soo-hyun assures her of her commitment, stating that this matter is significant to her as well.

At the same time, Yu Jin-woo receives a mysterious task from Chris (이기택). Chris hands him a car key and a black hat, instructing him to drive to a specified location without looking at the passengers or getting involved in any violence that may occur in the backseat. As Yu Jin-woo drives, chaos ensues in the back, leading to a violent altercation that distracts him. In a moment of panic, he swerves and crashes into a tree, injuring himself and bleeding from his hand, while memories of the backseat haunt him.

Kang Soo-hyun reflects on her conversation with Yu Jin-woo's aunt, who remarked that Yu Jin-woo does not even love himself. The episode concludes with a poignant reveal of Yu Jin-woo's wrist injuries and flashbacks of self-harm, leaving viewers concerned for his well-being.
