Crisis Strikes Again in SBS's 'My Perfect Secretary' as Han Ji-min Faces Investment Fraud Allegations

In the latest episode of SBS's drama 'My Perfect Secretary' (나의 완벽한 비서), aired on February 7, 2025, Han Ji-min's character, Ji-yoon, finds herself in turmoil once more as investment fraud allegations resurface, echoing a traumatic event from five years ago. The episode, which showcased the poignant love story between Ji-yoon and Eun-ho (Lee Jun-hyuk), captivated viewers and achieved impressive ratings of 10.9% nationwide and 10.7% in the metropolitan area, peaking at 13.3% during its broadcast (Nielsen Korea).

Ji-yoon is left reeling after Eun-ho reveals that he is the child his estranged father (Jo Wan-ki) fought to save before his passing. This revelation shatters Ji-yoon, who has endured profound loneliness since her father's departure, and she struggles to cope with the cruel twist of fate that has emerged just as she attempts to find solace. Eun-ho, unable to comfort her, resolves to wait patiently until Ji-yoon can gather her thoughts.

The following day at work, an invisible barrier forms between them. Ji-yoon, wearing sunglasses to hide her swollen eyes from crying, desperately avoids Eun-ho's gaze and ignores his attempts to connect. Eun-ho, in turn, tries to give her space, avoiding situations where they would be alone together. With only a month left in his six-month contract, the tension raises questions about their future.

Haunted by her father's choice to leave her alone in a fire, Ji-yoon grapples with feelings of resentment. After a long night of reflection, she visits her father's columbarium, where she finally expresses her true feelings. Despite her anger, she realizes how much she misses him, tearfully saying, "I'm sorry, Dad. I miss you," which resonated deeply with viewers.

On her way to work, Ji-yoon reaches out to Eun-ho again, expressing her gratitude for his kindness and making a firm promise: "I will never let go of this hand." Breaking their earlier agreement to keep their relationship a secret, she confidently walks into the office holding Eun-ho's hand, proudly revealing their romance. The reactions from their colleagues at 'People's' were a mix of shock and humor, adding a light-hearted touch to the drama.

As their love solidifies, Ji-yoon and Eun-ho excel at work. Ji-yoon competes against Hye-jin (Park Bo-kyung) for the CEO position at 'Next' and seeks a crisis management expert. However, she soon discovers Hye-jin's underhanded tactics, including collusion with Jeong-nam (Jo Han-jun), who seeks revenge after being fired by Ji-yoon. This leads to a critical slip of information from a careless colleague, which Ji-yoon cleverly turns to her advantage.

Recognizing that the real issues at 'Next' stem from internal problems rather than external threats, Ji-yoon strategically leaks a list of candidates to Jeong-nam, ultimately leading to a successful presentation that secures 'People's' position as the dedicated search firm for 'Next.' Hye-jin, unaware of Ji-yoon's behind-the-scenes maneuvering, is left furious when Ji-yoon presents a top-tier candidate from her network.

However, just as 'People's' seems to be on the rise, disaster strikes. The promising company 'Iconic Bio' becomes embroiled in a 20 billion won investment fraud scandal, and its CEO, Young-min (Ko Sang-ho), goes missing. The fallout inevitably affects 'People's,' as reporters swarm the office, triggering Ji-yoon's traumatic memories of the previous scandal from 'Career Way.' In this moment of crisis, Eun-ho steps in to protect Ji-yoon, setting the stage for an explosive conclusion to 'My Perfect Secretary,' with only two episodes remaining.
