Couple's Life After Scam Revealed on MBN's 'Special Report'

On December 26, MBN's '특종세상' (Special Report) showcased the daily life of the couple, Han Jin-joo (한진주) and Jeon Byeong-ok (전병옥), who are unable to leave their reservoir due to a scam. The couple, who have a significant age difference, gained attention for their unique story. Han Jin-joo, known for her debut role in the drama '토지' (Land), and Jeon Byeong-ok, recognized for his performances in '용의 눈물' (Tears of the Dragon) and '태조 왕건' (Wang Geon), have embraced a rural lifestyle after leaving the city. Han revealed, "I ended up here because we were scammed," while Jeon expressed his remorse, saying, "I always feel sorry. I was easily swayed without realizing it." Han shared her emotional struggle during the scam, stating, "It was so hard. I cried a lot, thinking, 'How could this person do this?'" The couple was defrauded and ended up receiving a fishing spot at a reservoir instead of their investment back 23 years ago.
