Couple from JTBC's 'Divorce Counseling Camp' Faces Backlash and Legal Action

The couple featured on JTBC's 'Divorce Counseling Camp' has announced their intention to pursue legal action in response to the intense criticism they have received. On December 12, Kim Bo-hyun, the wife, expressed her frustration on social media, stating, "It seems that in our country, only the bad sides are highlighted while the good is overlooked. It's frustrating because what we see is not the whole story."

Kim Bo-hyun, who married her church teacher Kim Eun-seok at the age of 18 after an unplanned pregnancy, is currently expecting their seventh child. She joined 'Divorce Counseling Camp' to address her concerns about her husband's excessive sexual, sleep, and eating habits. The couple has previously appeared on MBN's 'Teen Mom' and SBS Plus's 'Is Your Marriage Okay?', leading to questions about their sincerity and intentions for participating in the show.

As the show progressed, the couple faced even harsher criticism. They are currently unemployed and rely on child support payments, yet they were seen ignoring their child's request for a piece of meat while they indulged in food themselves. Disturbingly, they were also caught ordering chicken while their children were asleep. Additionally, footage of their 11-year-old child taking on caregiving responsibilities raised concerns, and Kim Eun-seok's inappropriate behavior in front of the children sparked allegations of child abuse. Viewers even filed complaints with the National Police Agency to investigate the family's use of child support funds and the alleged abuse.

Despite the backlash, Kim Eun-seok shocked viewers by announcing plans for an eighth child. However, during the final divorce mediation aired on December 12, Kim Bo-hyun stated that despite having been pregnant seven times, she does not dislike their relationship and has no intention of divorcing, suggesting that the entire situation may have been staged for the show.

In light of the ongoing criticism, Kim Bo-hyun reiterated her displeasure, posting a photo of her child eating and questioning why she should have to justify her parenting choices. She emphasized that everyone makes mistakes and that her marriage was a choice she does not regret. Furthermore, she hinted at the possibility of legal action against her critics, stating, "I don't want to waste time and emotions on this. Please stop."
