Comedians Park Na-rae and Jang Do-yeon Return to Their Roots on 'Gag Concert'

On June 1, 2025, comedians Park Na-rae (박나래) and Jang Do-yeon (장도연) made a long-awaited return to their hometown after 13 years, facing both the heat of a controversial dinner gathering and the revelation of their pre-surgery faces. Despite these challenges, they showcased their professionalism and comedic talent on KBS2's 'Gag Concert' (개그콘서트) during the 'Chatflix' segment.

'Chatflix' is an interactive comedy segment where audience members contribute lines in an open chat room. The popular segment features comedians like Park Seong-kwang (박성광), Song Jun-geun (송준근), Jeong Beom-kyun (정범균), Na Hyun-young (나현영), and Lee Sang-hoon (이상훈). Park Na-rae and Jang Do-yeon, both former KBS comedians who have become major figures in the entertainment industry, returned to 'Gag Concert' after over a decade.

Park Na-rae appeared on stage as the daughter of Lee Sang-hoon, portraying a shy bride-to-be marrying Park Seong-kwang. However, her comedic twist came with a bald cap and a quirky hairstyle, which surprised her fellow comedians. Park Na-rae humorously remarked, "It's a disease," showcasing her knack for comedic makeup.

The chat room buzzed with excitement when an audience member shared a pre-surgery photo of Park Na-rae, catching her off guard. Regaining her composure, she continued the scripted story with Park Seong-kwang but had to step off stage momentarily due to the audience's overwhelming suggestions for baby names. When one audience member suggested naming the child 'BoA,' Park Na-rae humorously clarified, "We are not in a relationship; I just received an apple. BoA and I are on good terms."

In contrast, Jang Do-yeon entered the stage looking perfectly fine and opposed the marriage. Her tall stature overshadowed both Park Seong-kwang and Park Na-rae, prompting the chat room to reference famous tall figures like Choi Hong-man (최홍만) and Ha Seung-jin (하승진). One audience member humorously noted, "130 and 140, 380," adding to the laughter.

Jang Do-yeon's pre-surgery photo was also revealed, to which Park Na-rae acknowledged, "She has also become much prettier," eliciting more laughter. Jang Do-yeon, encouraged by the audience, performed quirky dances like the 'Y Dance.' Displaying her energetic comedic spirit, she claimed to be pregnant to prevent Park Seong-kwang's marriage. When asked about the baby's father, audience members jokingly mentioned Lee Dong-wook (이동욱) and Son Seok-koo (손석구), to which she replied, "Please don’t sue me."

Park Na-rae also claimed to be pregnant in an attempt to catch Park Seong-kwang's attention. However, unlike Jang Do-yeon, the audience teased her with comments about 'imaginary pregnancy,' generating more laughs.

As the performance wrapped up, Park Na-rae seemed reluctant to deliver her final line. After Park Seong-kwang's pleading, she said, "Let’s leave quickly, wherever it is," prompting the audience to suggest heading to MBC, keeping the humor alive until the end.

After the recording of 'Gag Concert,' Park Na-rae headed to a nearby location for a dinner gathering, but humorously noted that no one showed up except for Jang Do-yeon. Later, the official 'Gag Concert' account revealed that the dinner gathering was indeed a misunderstanding, bringing the situation to a light-hearted conclusion.
