Comedians Kim Jun-ho and Kim Ji-min Officially Announce Their Engagement

Comedians Kim Jun-ho (김준호) and Kim Ji-min (김지민) have officially announced their engagement after dating for over three years. The couple had previously hinted at marriage during various broadcasts, but details remained vague until Kim Jun-ho publicly proposed to Kim Ji-min, who accepted his proposal.

The proposal took place during the December 22 episode of SBS's 'My Little Old Boy' (미운 우리 새끼), where Kim Ji-min's mother made a special appearance in the studio. The production team had invited her for a significant reason: Kim Jun-ho was preparing to propose to Kim Ji-min. However, they had not yet set a wedding date.

While the couple was at a health check-up, Kim Jun-ho took the opportunity to prepare his proposal while Kim Ji-min underwent an endoscopy. He expressed his feelings, saying, "Honestly, I thought there would be no love in my life until I met you. When I saw you by my side during my tough times, I realized you are my last love." He added, "I said I wouldn't marry unless I quit smoking, right? This time, I will really quit," as he dramatically broke a cigarette and smashed a bottle of alcohol, making Kim Ji-min laugh and exclaim, "Keep your promise!"

He then led her to the rooftop, where Kim Ji-min was surprised by the proposal setup. As a video recounting their love story played, Kim Ji-min was moved to tears, and her mother in the studio also shed tears of joy.

Holding back his own tears, Kim Jun-ho sang a heartfelt song before kneeling down to present a ring to Kim Ji-min. He said, "Thank you for loving me, your imperfect older brother. Let’s not get sick and love each other for a long time. Will you marry me?" Overwhelmed with emotion, Kim Ji-min responded, "Put it on me," accepting his proposal.

The couple officially acknowledged their relationship in April 2022 and has been together for three years. Kim Jun-ho has shown deep affection for Kim Ji-min and has seriously considered marriage, while Kim Ji-min humorously expressed her reluctance to be labeled a 'socially married woman' during her appearance on KBS 2TV's 'Immortal Songs' (불후의 명곡), where she sang a love serenade, hinting at their future together.

Kim Jun-ho, born in 1975, is currently 50 years old, while Kim Ji-min, born in 1984, is 41. Their relationship has garnered significant public interest regarding their marriage plans. However, Kim Ji-min previously mentioned on Channel A's 'Oh Eun-young's Counseling Center' that she felt unprepared for marriage, wanting to experience more of their relationship before taking that step.

Despite Kim Jun-ho's strong desire to marry this year, he acknowledged the need for readiness, leading to speculation that their wedding news might be delayed. Yet, before the year ends, they have finally shared their engagement news. While they had vaguely mentioned plans to marry next year, Kim Jun-ho's public proposal indicates that they will likely become the '24th comedian couple' in the near future.
