Comedian Park Na-rae Donates to Support Victims of Jeju Air Tragedy

Comedian Park Na-rae has made a donation to assist the victims of the Jeju Air plane crash that occurred at Muan International Airport in Jeollanam-do. According to reports from the entertainment industry on December 30, Park reached out to the local authorities the day before to express her support for the victims and provided a donation, the amount of which has not been disclosed at her request.

On her social media, she shared a heartfelt message saying, "I pray for the souls of the deceased," along with a photo of white chrysanthemums to honor the victims.

Park Na-rae hails from Muan-gun and spent her childhood in Mokpo. In 2019, when she won the Grand Prize at the MBC Entertainment Awards, a banner was displayed in her hometown celebrating her achievement, stating, "Park Na-rae, daughter of Mangwol-ri, Ilwon-eup, Muan-gun, winner of the MBC Entertainment Awards."

The tragic incident occurred on December 29 at approximately 9:03 AM, when Jeju Air flight 7C2216, which was en route from Bangkok, Thailand, to Muan International Airport, attempted to land without its landing gear deployed. The aircraft collided with a concrete embankment at the end of the runway, resulting in the deaths of 179 out of 181 passengers, while two crew members were rescued.
