Comedian Lee Young-ja Moved to Tears by Surprise Birthday Party

On December 22, a heartfelt moment unfolded on the YouTube channel '이영자 TV' when comedian Lee Young-ja was surprised with a birthday party that brought her to tears. In a video titled 'The Story Behind Lee Young-ja Crying While Cooking for Her Christmas Party,' she prepared a special home-cooked meal for her staff, expressing her gratitude for their support.

As she welcomed her guests, her close friend and junior, Kim Na-young, along with manager Song Sil-jang, surprised her with a birthday song, declaring, 'Happy Birthday, beloved senior!' A shocked Lee Young-ja exclaimed, 'Why am I crying? I never expected this!' as tears streamed down her face. Kim Na-young comforted her, saying, 'I’m sorry and congratulations, unnie.'

Lee Young-ja, overwhelmed with emotion, remarked, 'I didn’t think anyone would remember. I wasn’t planning to celebrate my birthday, how did you know?' Both she and Kim Na-young ended up in tears, with Lee expressing her intention to keep the celebration low-key with just her staff.

Inside a luxurious orange gift box, Kim Na-young had prepared a cup and a handwritten letter, prompting Lee to joke, 'Isn’t Hermes supposed to be bags or something?' Song Sil-jang brought beautiful candles, which reminded Lee of her mother and childhood memories.

In her letter, Kim Na-young wrote, 'Happy Birthday, Yumi unnie. I hope you become even more beautiful and wonderful next year.' Lee was touched, acknowledging the effort despite their busy schedules, and a friend mentioned they had waited outside for an hour.
