Comedian Heo Kyung-hwan Achieves Runner-Up Finish at BJJ Tournament in Guam

Comedian Heo Kyung-hwan (허경환), 43, recently made headlines for securing a runner-up position at a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) tournament held in Guam. On November 27, his agency, Tn Entertainment (티엔엔터테인먼트), announced that Heo placed second in the purple belt category and third in the open weight division at the 'Road to Gold' (로드 투 골드) BJJ competition, which took place on October 12.

In Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, practitioners advance through a belt system that includes white, blue, purple, brown, and black belts, based on skill and training duration.

Mixed martial artist Jung Chan-sung (정찬성), who attended the event, expressed his admiration for Heo's skills, stating, "The energy of victory is coming to Heo Kyung-hwan."

Heo previously won first place in the white male general division at the inaugural 'Road FC BJJ Tournament' in 2018, competing in the 76kg weight class. He has also showcased his BJJ training on various entertainment programs, highlighting his dedication to the sport.
