Comedian Ahn Young-mi Returns to 'Gag Concert' After Six Years

Comedian Ahn Young-mi is set to make a long-awaited return to her roots on KBS2's 'Gag Concert' for its 1109th episode, airing on February 9. After a six-year hiatus, she will bring her signature adult-themed humor to spice up Sunday nights.

In this episode, Ahn will appear in the segment 'Defcon, How's It Going?' alongside the duo Shin Yoon-seung and Jo Soo-yeon. She will portray a lively character, the aunt known for her delicious tteokbokki at a local bar, which is expected to capture the audience's attention right from her entrance. Ahn is known for her bold 19+ jokes, and her spicy wit and dynamic gestures reportedly led Shin Yoon-seung to exclaim, 'This isn’t 'Comedy Big League'!' causing the audience to erupt in laughter.

Additionally, pop artist Nancy Lang will guest on the segment 'Communication King, Grandma Malja.' She will share her feelings of loneliness and express her desire to meet someone interesting. Nancy also mentioned that she has six solo exhibitions planned for this year, but preparing new works has been challenging. Kim Young-hee, the host of 'Malja Grandma,' suggested that Nancy should turn her signature pose into a piece of art, drawing attention to both Nancy's ideal type and her upcoming works featured on 'Gag Concert.'

In the segment 'Na Sook-yi,' actress Shim Jeong-eun will showcase her strong presence as 'Na Sook-yi's mom.' She introduces herself to Jeong Tae-ho as 'Karina, Na Sook-yi's mom,' leading Jeong to comment on the chaos her name has caused at school, questioning if 'Karina' is indeed her real name. Shim reveals that she has a different birth name, which leaves Jeong feeling defeated once again. Viewers can find out the new name of 'Na Sook-yi's mom' during the broadcast.
