Cleo's Cha Eun-jung Joins 'Couple Palace 2' as Contestant

Cha Eun-jung, a member of the first-generation girl group Cleo, is set to appear on Mnet's 'Couple Palace 2'. According to reports on January 20, she participated in the recent filming of the show as a contestant.

Debuting in 1999 with Cleo's first album, Cha Eun-jung continued her career as a solo artist under the name 'Angel' after the group's disbandment. She has also formed a girl group in Hong Kong and has worked as an MC and director, showcasing her versatility in the entertainment industry.

In addition to her various activities, she appeared on MBC's 'King of Mask Singer' and TV Chosun's 'Miss Trot 2' in 2020. Last November, she reformed Cleo into a trio by adding new members Koo Do-kyung and Dini, and recently released her second city pop single, 'Tonight'.

As she continues her music career, Cha Eun-jung is drawing attention for her participation in 'Couple Palace 2', which will air on February 5, where she will be searching for a partner.

Mnet's 'Couple Palace 2', directed by Lee Sun-young and Jung Min-seok, is a large-scale couple matching survival show aimed at helping 100 single men and women find their ideal marriage partners. The first season gained popularity for its candid approach to the realities of marriage and its impressive matching system, akin to that of a marriage agency. Following the success of the first season, which produced 12 couples and set a record for dating shows, the second season has been confirmed and is highly anticipated after a year-long wait.
