Christopher Nolan's 'Odyssey' Tickets Sell Out in Under an Hour Ahead of Release

The highly anticipated film 'Odyssey' by Christopher Nolan is making waves even before its release, with pre-sale tickets selling out in less than an hour. This unprecedented 'one year in advance ticket sale' marks a first in Hollywood history. Scheduled to hit theaters on July 17, 2026, tickets for the film were made available on July 17, 2025, and were quickly snapped up, as reported by the LA Times.

The tickets released were for IMAX screenings during the film's opening week from July 16 to 19, 2026, across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia. 'Odyssey' has already generated approximately $1.5 million (around 20 billion KRW) in revenue from these pre-sales.

Despite only a 30-second teaser trailer and a single promotional image being released, the film has garnered significant attention. The star-studded cast includes Matt Damon as Odysseus, alongside Tom Holland, Charlize Theron, Robert Pattinson, Zendaya, and Anne Hathaway.

In response to the high demand, ticket scalpers are listing 'Odyssey' tickets on resale sites for prices exceeding ten times the original cost, ranging from $300 to $400. Additionally, numerous fake trailers have appeared on YouTube, aiming to attract clicks from eager fans.
