Choo Sung-hoon Shows Off His Handsome Pride on Handsome Guys

In the latest episode of tvN's variety show Handsome Guys (일요일엔 핸썸가이즈), aired on December 15, 2024, Choo Sung-hoon made a guest appearance and expressed his enthusiasm for a punishment involving traditional liquor brewing.

Choo revealed that he joined the show because his friend Kim Dong-hyun invited him, stating, "I came in with a rough idea of what to expect. It’s a team competition, and I heard it can get a bit competitive."

The mention of competition made everyone a bit tense, but Kim Dong-hyun, a close friend, joked, "I've known Sung-hoon for a long time. His team is basically a 2:3 situation. He’s just here to eat. I can guarantee that!" Choo attempted to defend himself, saying, "I only step up when needed," but Kim insisted, "He doesn’t even put in the effort!" When Lee Yi-kyung asked if he could drive, Choo admitted, "I can’t drive," which drew laughter from the group.

When asked about his preferred team, Choo suggested splitting into three athletes and three actors, but Kim immediately rejected the idea. Choo and Cha Tae-hyun ended up choosing Lee Yi-kyung and Kim Dong-hyun through rock-paper-scissors, while the remaining players, Oh Sang-wook and Shin Seung-ho, both wanted to join Cha’s team. Choo, wanting to keep things interesting, won the game and put pressure on Oh and Shin.

Shin Seung-ho, trying to avoid being picked by Choo, argued that it would be better to keep the teams divided by profession, but Kim reminded him, "Aren’t you an athlete too?" When Choo showed interest, Shin revealed, "I used to be a soccer player."

Ultimately, the teams were formed as Choo, Kim Dong-hyun, and Oh Sang-wook made up the athlete team, while Cha Tae-hyun, Lee Yi-kyung, and Shin Seung-ho became the actor team. They then had to come up with a team name. Kim jokingly asked Choo if he really thought he was handsome. Choo, momentarily speechless, replied, "Oh Sang-wook is handsome, and Kim Dong-hyun is decent for a fighter. I’m not bad for an older guy either. So, we’ll go with Handsome!"

When the punishment of brewing traditional liquor was mentioned, Choo excitedly said, "Are we really making alcohol? That sounds great! I’ve always wanted to do that. Let’s just enjoy some drinks, eat beef and bulgogi, and relax for the day!" This comment left Kim Dong-hyun exclaiming, "We’re in big trouble!"
