Choo Sung-hoon Reveals Fight Money on New Variety Show
On the premiere episode of the new ENA variety show, 'Choi Hwa-jung and Kim Ho-young's I Missed You' aired on March 8, 2025, Choo Sung-hoon (추성훈) and Bae Jung-nam (배정남) made guest appearances. The hosts, Choi Hwa-jung and Kim Ho-young, expressed their excitement, stating, "We are meeting someone who is currently the hottest in South Korea."
Choo Sung-hoon, the main guest of the episode, shared that he ordered special beef intestines and Hanwoo beef large intestines from a restaurant he has frequented for 20 years. A staff member revealed that he had recently visited the restaurant with BTS's Jungkook (정국). Before diving into the meal, Choo was seen warming up, drawing attention from viewers.
He explained his fondness for beef intestines, recalling a memory from when he received his first paycheck of 500,000 won after graduating from university while working at Busan City Hall. He reminisced about not being able to afford good food and how he occasionally went to a beef intestines restaurant with his seniors, marking a memorable experience despite the high prices at the time.
Choo candidly shared, "I have loved meat since I was young, but I couldn't eat much due to financial constraints. My family would go to a buffet once a month. It wasn't until I was over thirty that I started eating with my own money, especially after I began earning from fighting. I didn't make money when I was practicing judo, but I started earning through mixed martial arts."
He also disclosed that his annual salary has increased more than tenfold, stating, "If you add up all my fight money, it amounts to about 1 billion won. However, even with that, there isn't much left over."
