Choo Shin-soo Reflects on Regrettable DUI Incident

On December 16, former Major League Baseball player Choo Shin-soo appeared as the first guest on KBS2's show, 세차JANG (Car Wash JANG). During the episode, host Jang Sung-kyu asked Choo if there was a moment in his life he wished he could erase. Choo candidly responded, 'Everyone has moments they want to forget. For me, it was when I drove under the influence in the U.S.'

The two hosts were visibly surprised by his admission, but Choo explained, 'While I wish I could erase it, I also realized it was a serious mistake. I speak about it because repeating the same mistake two or three times is no longer a mistake.'

Choo Shin-soo was arrested for DUI in 2011 while driving with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.201%. He faced a six-month license suspension and a fine of $675.

Choo has been married to his high school sweetheart, Ha Won-mi, since 2004, and they have three children together.
