Choo Shin-soo Reflects on Past DUI Controversy

In a recent episode of KBS2's new variety show, 세차JANG (Car Wash JANG), baseball player Choo Shin-soo opened up about his past controversy involving driving under the influence. During the show, hosted by Jang Min-ho and Jang Seong-kyu, Choo was asked if there are moments in his life he wishes he could erase. He candidly responded, 'In both my baseball career and my entire life, it would be the time I was arrested for DUI in the U.S.' He expressed regret but also emphasized the lesson learned from that experience, stating, 'I want to forget it, but it made me realize it was something I should never have done. If someone makes the same mistake two or three times, it doesn't seem like a mistake anymore.' Choo was arrested in 2011 for DUI, with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.201%, leading to a six-month license suspension and a fine of $675.
