After murdering her father-in-law, Baek Dong-hwan (played by Jung Dong-hwan), she attempted to orchestrate the murder of her daughter-in-law, Hong Hee-joo (played by Chae Soo-bin), in a bid to protect her true son, Baek Sa-eon.
