Choi Yeo-jin Overcomes Rumors to Marry Sports Entrepreneur Kim Jae-wook

Actress Choi Yeo-jin has faced significant emotional turmoil due to various rumors and speculations, but she has remained steadfast in expressing her truth and ultimately celebrated her marriage. On June 1, she tied the knot with sports entrepreneur Kim Jae-wook in a private ceremony held in Gapyeong, Gyeonggi Province.

While the wedding marks a joyful occasion, the journey to this moment was fraught with challenges. Following the announcement of their engagement, Choi was engulfed in a wave of rumors. The speculation began in 2020 when she appeared on tvN's On and Off, where she referred to Kim Jae-wook and his ex-wife as "like mom and dad." Years later, when news broke of her relationship with Kim, who she had described as a father figure, allegations of infidelity surfaced.

As the wedding approached, Choi found herself at the center of controversy. She revealed that she had to endure harsh comments, including accusations of stealing a married man and being labeled as a "black-haired beast." Choi emphasized that they began dating only after his divorce, and Kim's ex-wife even supported her by stating, "We met after my divorce, so why are there so many rumors? I can confirm that."

Despite this, rumors continued to circulate, morphing into various unfounded claims, including allegations of cult involvement, being the son of an H Group chairman, gaslighting, cohabitation, free lodging, matching outfits, and the use of parental titles.

In response, Choi addressed these rumors on Radio Star and her YouTube channel, stating, "I couldn't stay silent when I saw so many people reacting to these absurd stories. It crossed the line, and my friends are the ones who suffer from it." She firmly denied any claims of being held captive or experiencing gaslighting, asserting that she has her own phone and has never lived with Kim. She clarified that any misunderstanding about cohabitation stemmed from dining together, which was misconstrued as receiving free accommodation. Additionally, she stated, "I have never called him mom or dad; I merely expressed that he takes care of me like a parent."
