Choi Yeo-jin Completes Unique Wedding Ceremony

On June 16, SBS's 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 - You Are My Destiny' showcased the preparations for the wedding of actors Choi Yeo-jin and Kim Jae-wook. During the episode, Choi revealed a transformed long-term camping tent, which now includes a tea area and even a bed. When asked if the tent was their newlywed home, she humorously remarked, "I jokingly call myself homeless since our house is under construction. We're now moving to the second floor, so I set up a tent as our temporary newlywed home. It's the most luxurious newlywed life while living outdoors!"

As they practiced for their upcoming cruise wedding, the couple planned for the groom to make his entrance on a board. Observing their preparations, Kim Gura commented, "I don't know who this is for, but it's quite ambitious," to which Choi added, "We’ve put in a lot of effort for what we hope is our last wedding."

Panelists watching the rehearsal expressed their concerns. Lee Ji-hye noted, "It looks cool when you get off, but this part seems a bit much," while Seo Jang-hoon remarked, "Even if you do that, it’s not great." Kim Sook suggested, "It might be better to give up on this idea."

Choi Yeo-jin also voiced her doubts, saying, "This seems overly ambitious, uncle." She then asked Kim Jae-wook if he was okay, to which he replied, "My ankle is a bit sore. How did you know?" Jeong Seok-yong added, "You shouldn't get hurt now. Is it really necessary to go this far?"

The couple decided to exchange their wedding gifts through a golf-themed activity. After several attempts, Choi finally succeeded in receiving her gift, but Seo Jang-hoon pointed out, "How can you do that in a dress?" After more practice, Choi exclaimed, "I don’t want to do this anymore. I’m too tired, and my back hurts," while her fiancé insisted, "It has meaning, so I want to do it."

As the wedding day approached, the couple visited the venue, where Choi expressed her surprise at the lack of preparation, saying, "But it seems like not much is ready?" The panelists also appeared taken aback by the unfinished setup. Choi spoke with the wedding planner, stating, "This is my first cruise wedding, and it’s a challenge to create something from nothing." Kim Jae-wook shared his worries, saying, "With only a few hours left, I’m concerned if everything will be ready."

During the ceremony, the cruise faced issues with ropes preventing flowers from being placed at the back, leading Choi to lament, "Then the aisle will be too short. With my long legs, I’ll only take three steps!" The planner assured her they would try to rearrange things while considering safety. Choi described it as a difficult task, saying, "It’s all or nothing. It will either go well or fail."

After finishing their hair and makeup in Gangnam, the couple returned to Gapyeong, where a beautifully set-up guest area and ceremony space awaited them. The main stage, which had worried Choi, was expanded to her satisfaction.

As guests began to arrive, many familiar faces from 'Goal Dae Ryeon' joined, including Yoo-bin, Kim Hee-jung, and Kim Seol-hee, along with other celebrities like Jang Hyuk, Kim Bin-woo, and singer Ivy, who all added to the celebratory atmosphere.

The ceremony was hosted by comedians Kim Won-hyo and Lee Hyun-yi, and the couple made their grand entrance. Both mothers greeted the guests first, and instead of arriving on a board, Kim Jae-wook walked down the aisle in a suit. Choi Yeo-jin descended the stairs, holding her new father's hand as they walked together.

Choi shared, "My dad mentioned, 'I’m your new father,' and since he raised me, it’s only natural to walk together. He was very emotional." This moment brought tears to Choi's mother as well. After reading their vows, the couple prepared for the exchange of wedding gifts, but instead of Kim Jae-wook, professional golfer Lee Sang-hoon stepped in.

To celebrate the couple, Ivy performed a song, expressing, "Yeo-jin, you look stunningly beautiful, and I can’t find the words to describe how overwhelmed I am. Please make Yeo-jin happy." Following her, Kim Gura humorously added, "Congratulations to both of you. You’ve shown that even a short man can marry a tall bride, so I’ll sing for you too."

The bride's father delivered a heartfelt speech, thanking everyone for attending despite their busy schedules. He expressed his hopes for the couple to remain true to themselves and support each other through both happy and sad times.

After the ceremony, the second part of the celebration featured a lively performance. Choi Yeo-jin's model junior, Ryu Ji-gwang, sang while the mother-in-law and son-in-law danced the blues, and Choi herself led a Zumba dance to keep the wedding's energy high.

Choi Yeo-jin has married businessman Kim Jae-wook, who is seven years her senior, and the couple plans to start their married life in Gapyeong, Gyeonggi Province.
