Choi Woo-jin Makes His Broadcast Debut in 'The Call You Just Made' Alongside Yoo Yeon-seok

Choi Woo-jin has shared his thoughts on making his debut in a broadcast drama. He will appear in the new MBC Friday-Saturday drama 'The Call You Just Made' (지금 거신 전화는), which premieres on November 22, 2024, playing the role of Park Do-jae.
'The Call You Just Made' is a romantic thriller that revolves around a politically arranged marriage that has turned into a facade after three years, triggered by a threatening phone call. The series is based on a popular web novel of the same name from KakaoPage.
In the drama, Choi Woo-jin portrays Park Do-jae, a special administrative officer who closely assists the presidential spokesperson Baek Sa-eon, played by Yoo Yeon-seok. Park Do-jae is depicted as someone who holds Baek Sa-eon in high regard, executing his tasks with near perfection. He operates almost like a secret agent, showcasing his versatility and earning the nickname 'Little Baek Sa-eon' as he follows Baek like a shadow.
This marks Choi Woo-jin's first appearance in a broadcast drama, and he expressed his excitement through his agency, Wehwa Entertainment Korea. He stated, "For someone like me, who has dreamed of being an actor since childhood, appearing in a broadcast drama feels beyond just a nostalgic experience. It is a great honor to showcase my acting to the viewers." He added, "Seeing my parents' joy upon hearing the news of my broadcast debut filled me with emotion. Their happiness has become a significant driving force in my journey as an actor."
Choi Woo-jin also mentioned, "I feel immense happiness working alongside such talented directors, staff, and senior actors. Filming in a supportive environment and achieving this important milestone of my broadcast debut allows me to wrap up this year on a warm note. This project holds great significance for me, so I hope many viewers will tune in."
Choi Woo-jin made his acting debut earlier this year in the TVING original series 'Lee Jae, Soon to Die' (이재, 곧 죽습니다) Part 2, where he garnered attention for his seamless performances alongside seasoned actors. He showcased his ability to handle both action and emotional scenes, quickly earning the title of a 'prepared rookie.' Fans are eager to see how he will shine in his broadcast drama debut with 'The Call You Just Made.'
The MBC drama 'The Call You Just Made' is set to air its first episode today, November 22, at 9:50 PM.
