Choi Sang-hak to Marry Business Partner After 13-Year Hiatus

Choi Sang-hak, known for his memorable performances in dramas like 왕초 (The Boss) and 야인시대 (The Age of Heroes), is set to tie the knot on December 29, 2024. After a 13-year break from acting, he will marry his beautiful girlfriend, who has been his partner in both love and business.

Born in 1983, Choi made his acting debut in 1996 with the SBS drama 만남 (Meeting). He gained popularity through various roles in MBC dramas such as 왕초 (The Boss), 남자 셋 여자 셋 (Three Men, Three Women), 점프 (Jump), and 야인시대 (The Age of Heroes). Choi became a beloved 'scene-stealer' with his comedic characters, particularly as An Sang-hak in 세친구 (Three Friends) and the lightning character in 야인시대 (The Age of Heroes).

After enlisting in the military in 2007, Choi paused his acting career. He attempted a comeback in 2012 with appearances on KBS2's 개그콘서트 (Gag Concert) and SBS's 도전 1000곡 (Challenge 1000 Songs), but faced challenges in re-establishing his career. For a decade, he worked in a regular company to support himself before launching a 육회 (raw beef) brand with his girlfriend, who is a former hair designer. This entrepreneurial venture has reignited public interest in him.
