Choi Hong-man Engages with Fans on Social Media

Mixed martial artist Choi Hong-man is actively connecting with his fans through social media. Recently, he shared a post featuring a short video where he expressed his love for his favorite cup ramen, stating, "My favorite cup ramen. It tastes great no matter how many times I eat it since childhood." In the video, he is seen holding a large bowl of ramen, typically gripped with two hands by an average adult, with one hand, showcasing his impressive physique.

He also posted another video with the caption, "Tangerines + Air Play. I get scolded for playing with food, but tangerines are love," where he is seen holding five tangerines in one hand. Additionally, he effortlessly held a 2-liter bottle of milk and a bundle of 20 yogurt cups, leaving viewers amazed.

On March 30, Choi shared a glimpse of the numerous direct messages he received from fans, expressing gratitude while playing the background music of Radi's "Thank You, Thank You."

Choi Hong-man, known as the 'Techno Goliath,' was a prominent figure in the early 2000s MMA boom. However, he faced a scandal in 2011 when rumors of assaulting a female college student surfaced. Although he was cleared of charges, the incident left a lasting impact on his public image, making recovery challenging.

In 2021, he appeared on a Japanese variety show, revealing that he was living in Osaka and discussing his struggles with social anxiety due to harsh criticism and negative comments. Currently, he has been residing in the mountains of his hometown, Jeju Island, for the past six years.

Despite these challenges, Choi has not retired from fighting. He has expressed a desire to return to the ring in peak condition. In January, he hinted at a comeback on social media, stating, "I will return this year. I will come back in the best shape." Recently, he also shared, "Happy days will come again, starting from my favorite season, spring. Only good people and good thoughts," indicating his intention to maintain active communication with fans.
