Choi Ho-jong Crowned Best Dancer of the Year

Choi Ho-jong has emerged as the standout dancer of the year, continuing his impressive streak of awards. On December 19, he received the Kim Baek-bong Award at the 2024 Night of Korean Dancers held at the Arko Arts Theater, adding to his accolades as the 2024 Dancer of the Year.
Now in its eighth year, the Night of Korean Dancers is an event organized by the Korea Dance Association to honor and encourage the efforts of dancers who have contributed to the promotion and development of dance in South Korea. The Kim Baek-bong Award, which Choi received, is presented to passionate and ambitious young dancers.
This recognition positions Choi as a key figure in shaping the future of Korean dance, making the award's significance even more profound. His artistic expression resonates deeply with audiences, and it is anticipated that he will continue to have a substantial impact on the advancement of the domestic dance scene.
In 2024, Choi has filled the year with his achievements, dubbing it 'The Year of Choi Ho-jong.' He recently captivated audiences with his performances on Mnet's 'Stage Fighter,' which concluded last month to great acclaim. Each of his performances sent chills through viewers, and the sincerity conveyed through his expressions and gestures left a lasting impression. As a result, he consistently ranked high in the popularity charts released by Good Data Corporation's Pundex for non-drama TV-OTT appearances.
Continuing his remarkable journey, Choi has also been appointed as the ambassador for the 2024 Performing Arts Creation Center's New Works, leading the charge in popularizing pure arts, including dance.
As he showcases his prowess as a leading dancer, Choi is preparing to meet audiences as the principal dancer of the STF Dance Company. He will connect closely with fans during the national tour of 'Stage Fighter Gala Show THE ORIGINALS,' sharing the joy of dance with everyone attending.
The 'Stage Fighter Gala Show THE ORIGINALS,' featuring Choi, will kick off on December 25 in Incheon, followed by performances in Seoul, Daegu, Busan, and Gwangju. More details about the show can be found on the official 'Stage Fighter' social media channels.
