Choi Daniel's Bold Journey in Jungle Bob 2: Peru and Caribbean

In the latest episode of SBS's entertainment show Jungle Bob 2 (정글밥2 - 페루밥, 카리브밥), which aired on March 6, 2025, viewers witnessed Choi Daniel's fearless antics alongside Kim Ok-bin, Choi Hyun-seok, and Ryu Soo-young as they prepared to enter the Amazon. Upon arriving in Peru, the group enjoyed a simple yet delightful last supper of ramen.

Before venturing into the Amazon, they explored a local market near the dock, where they encountered a variety of unfamiliar ingredients. From rat meat to armadillos, crocodiles, and uniquely prepared chickens, the market was a feast of exotic offerings.

The group hesitated to make purchases, especially when they stumbled upon turtle meat and turtle soup, leaving the MCs astonished. Kim Ok-bin remarked, "This was the most shocking market I've ever visited in my life," while Jeon Hyun-moo noted, "I've never seen anyone walk through a market without buying anything before," and Heo Young-ji expressed her surprise at their restraint.

Their first purchase was a piaracu, a massive freshwater fish known as a fossil of the Amazon, measuring over 2 meters. Choi Hyun-seok and Ryu Soo-young had been particularly curious about the piaracu before their trip. The fish was priced at 25,000 won for 2 kg, with Choi Hyun-seok commenting, "The piaracu is a more premium ingredient compared to other meats."

As they entered the Amazon, they encountered a sloth and arrived at the real Bombonaje village, where they were impressed by their tidy accommodations.

However, the ingredients they faced were still quite foreign. Ryu Soo-young and Kim Ok-bin sampled rat meat and thumb-sized grilled larvae after swimming. Choi Daniel, having lost a rock-paper-scissors game to Choi Hyun-seok, tasted the world’s most expensive chili, the 'Aha Charapita,' and exclaimed, "I don’t know what’s happening to my mouth. It’s incredibly spicy! I can’t feel my tongue," before jokingly accusing Choi Hyun-seok of being a trickster.
