Chef Yoon Nam-noo Issues Warning to Resellers Over Restaurant Reservations

Chef Yoon Nam-noo, who gained fame from the Netflix show 흑백요리사 (Black and White Chef), has issued a stern warning to resellers profiting from restaurant reservations. On January 2, he shared screenshots on his Instagram story from a second-hand trading platform, expressing his frustration with the situation. He wrote, "I'm about to lose it. Stop before I reveal your real names and numbers!" The posts highlighted that resellers were attempting to sell reservations for his restaurant, 디핀옥수 (Dipinoksu), for an additional fee of 30,000 to 35,000 KRW.

The popularity of 흑백요리사 has made it increasingly difficult for fans to secure reservations at the restaurants of featured chefs. Resellers have been using reservation apps to claim spots and then resell them at inflated prices. Yoon's posts also included a list of other renowned chefs from the show, such as 최현석 (Choi Hyun-seok) and 강승원 (Kang Seung-won), whose restaurants are similarly affected. Many prime time slots, including weekday lunches and weekends, are already booked through the end of February.

Yoon stated, "I won't tolerate this anymore. My family and friends can't even get reservations due to these brokers, and it's causing a lot of stress. I will root out these resellers." He further warned that if he catches them again, he will publicly disclose their names and numbers, adding, "Go ahead and sue me for defamation. My customers come first, even over fines."
