Chef Jung Ji-sun Aims for Global Expansion with Ambitious Plans

Jung Ji-sun, dubbed the 'Jenny of the Chef World,' is embarking on an ambitious journey to expand her culinary influence globally. Recently, she showcased her talents by delivering a lecture at Harvard University and successfully hosting a pop-up store in New York, demonstrating her confidence in entering the American market.
On the May 18 episode of KBS2's 'Boss's Ears Are Donkey Ears,' viewers got a glimpse into Jung's hectic daily life. Despite her busy schedule traveling between Korea and abroad, she remains dedicated to studying English, reflecting her passion for a global leap.
The broadcast highlighted Jung's remarkable international experiences, including her lecture at the prestigious Harvard University and the successful pop-up store in New York. The show's hosts, including Jeon Hyun-moo, Kim Sook, and Park Myung-soo, were visibly impressed, with Park even bestowing her the nickname 'Chef Jenny,' indicating her rising international stature.
These valuable experiences have instilled in Jung a newfound confidence towards her goal of entering the U.S. market. She expressed, "Based on this experience, I feel ready to go to America," and immediately began developing new menu items tailored for the American palate.
To achieve this, she organized a tasting session after restaurant hours, inviting experts like Lucky and Alberto, who have a deep understanding of the U.S. market. Although her team presented dishes like tofu tacos and radish shrimp balls, they felt something was missing. In response, Jung and her team created a visually stunning and flavorful chicken dish inspired by New York's rising landmark, 'Vessel,' which received high praise.
With her experiences at Harvard and recognition in New York as stepping stones, Chef Jung Ji-sun is passionately challenging herself on the global stage. The culinary world eagerly anticipates the outcomes of her ambitious endeavors.
