Chae Ri-na's Throwback Photos Surprise Fans on 'Joseon's Love Fool'

In a recent episode of TV Chosun's variety show 'Joseon's Love Fool' aired on February 24, throwback photos of Chae Ri-na were revealed, showcasing her past as a member of the legendary 90s group, Rula. Chae Ri-na, who introduced herself as a '30-year veteran' in the music industry, debuted with Rula in 1995 and later pursued a solo career as a diva after leaving the group in 1997.
The episode highlighted Chae Ri-na's influence on Lee Hyori, who once admitted to crying after receiving Chae Ri-na's autograph. Fans were taken aback by the stark contrast between her past and present looks, with some jokingly commenting on her 'scary' appearance in the old photos. Chae Ri-na humorously recalled her unique turban fashion, attributing the idea to her mother during a time when stylists weren't paying much attention to her.
The show also featured her husband, Park Yong-geun, who expressed his admiration for Chae Ri-na during her diva days, admitting he was a fan. He shared that their first meeting occurred in 2012 through a mutual acquaintance while he was serving in the military. Park Yong-geun amusingly noted that he found her intimidating due to her striking leather jacket. When asked when he started seeing her as a woman, he mentioned that it happened gradually while spending time together, leaving the audience in laughter with his lighthearted remarks about her initial impression.
