Chae Jung-an Reveals Secrets About Lee Ji-hye and Moon Jae-wan on 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2'

In the latest episode of SBS's entertainment show Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 (동상이몽 시즌2-너는 내 운명), aired on December 23, veteran actress Chae Jung-an made some surprising revelations about her close friend Lee Ji-hye and her husband Moon Jae-wan.

Chae Jung-an, who is celebrating her 30th year in the entertainment industry, shared a nostalgic moment with fellow guest Kim Hyung-kyu, recalling their early days as co-hosts on a music channel. She humorously mentioned that Kim Hyung-kyu had a high school boyfriend, which drew laughter from the audience, especially when old photos of them were shown.

During the episode, Chae Jung-an didn't hold back her opinions about the other hosts, referring to Seo Jang-hoon as a '꼰대' (a term for an old-fashioned person). She remarked, "Seo Jang-hoon is the kind of '꼰대' we need in this era. His insights are often spot on, but sometimes he can be a bit overbearing, and I worried he might get upset if I interrupted him."

Chae then made a bold statement about her friend Lee Ji-hye, claiming, "She doesn't love her husband that much." This left Lee Ji-hye visibly shocked as she insisted, "I love my husband a lot!" Chae explained her comment by referencing Lee Ji-hye's past relationships, saying, "I've seen her in crazy love before, so this is different now." Lee Ji-hye countered, stating, "This is a passionate love!"

Chae Jung-an lightened the mood by saying, "Anyway, her husband is a different kind of man now. They have two kids, and I hope she can tone it down a bit!" This led to laughter as she added, "Lee Ji-hye has always loved fiercely. I’ve never loved like that, but I always expect love to come my way."

As the conversation continued, Lee Ji-hye expressed her frustrations, saying, "I want to ignore it all. Why do we all live like this?" She shared her struggles with her husband, Moon Jae-wan, who remarked, "I can’t fully understand my wife’s past, but I feel we’ve lived different lives. Even when I talk to her, she doesn’t get it. I feel like I have to make a choice now." This left everyone in the studio surprised and concerned about the couple's situation.

The episode also depicted a tense moment at home, where Lee Ji-hye was seen preparing breakfast with a tired expression, prompting comments from others that she looked unwell. Moon Jae-wan was also shown eating dumplings alone, leading Lee Ji-hye to chide him to take care of their child, resulting in a brief argument.

Days later, the couple visited a mental health clinic, with Lee Ji-hye stating, "I might be saying things unilaterally, but we need a neutral expert's perspective for our relationship diagnosis." It was clear that they were at a critical juncture, needing a third party to help resolve their conflicts.
