Cha Tae-hyun Reunites with Former Store Owner on Handsome Guys, Choo Sung-hoon Shows Interest in Makgeolli Business

In the latest episode of tvN's variety show Handsome Guys (일요일엔 핸썸가이즈), which aired on December 22, 2024, Cha Tae-hyun reunited with the store owner from the show 'Accidental Boss 2' after three years. During the episode, Choo Sung-hoon expressed a positive outlook on starting a makgeolli business.

The episode featured a race that ended in a tie between the Handsome Team and the Guys Team. After a setback in Yeongam, the Guys Team, consisting of Cha Tae-hyun, Lee Yi-kyung, and Shin Seung-ho, moved to Haenam (나) for a tasting session followed by a quiz. They were asked to guess the meaning of the Chinese characters for '당귀' (Angelica), leading to humorous guesses, including Shin Seung-ho's unexpected comment, "You are cute!" which lightened the mood.

After some deliberation, Cha Tae-hyun confidently shouted, "Of course, come back!" which turned out to be the correct answer, allowing the Guys Team to catch up with the Handsome Team, who were enjoying their time after acquiring Yeongam. Choo Sung-hoon suggested they go to a sauna, to which Kim Dong-hyun humorously questioned the proximity of a bathhouse.

As the Guys Team prepared for their next move, Cha Tae-hyun announced they would follow Shin Seung-ho's strategy of not playing bingo and instead focus on territory acquisition until 8 PM. The next quiz question revolved around the secret ingredient used by Baekje brewers. Shin Seung-ho, recalling a previous reading, confidently suggested '누룩' (nuruk) as the answer, although Cha Tae-hyun and Lee Yi-kyung were unfamiliar with it.

In a comical attempt to see a distant sign, Cha Tae-hyun laid on the table, exclaiming his frustration at not being able to see. Eventually, he was persuaded by Shin Seung-ho to shout '누룩,' which was indeed correct, leading to a celebratory hug between the two.

The Handsome Team also managed to answer correctly in Suncheon and enjoyed a meal of cockle rice, finishing in just 20 minutes. Meanwhile, Oh Sang-wook was seen eagerly eating cockles while his teammates briefly stepped away.

Later, the teams headed to Naju, where they visited the filming location of 'Accidental Boss 2.' Choo Sung-hoon, after tasting traditional Naju liquor, remarked on its comfort and noted that this style of alcohol is favored by Japanese people.

Previously, Choo Sung-hoon had mentioned on his YouTube channel, 'Super Ma?R Sora,' that he was in his second year of a fashion business. When Kim Dong-hyun inquired about his business ventures, Choo responded positively, indicating he had learned a lot that day.

The episode concluded dramatically with both teams tied at 4:4, and upon arriving in Naju, Cha Tae-hyun warmly embraced the store owner and butcher he hadn't seen in three years.
