Cha Joo-young Opens Up on 'You Quiz' About Her Career and Personal Life

Actress Cha Joo-young is set to reveal all about herself in her upcoming appearance on tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block'. The show's official YouTube channel released a teaser for episode 281 titled, "The Perfect Actress Cha Joo-young: From 'My Name' and 'The Glory' to the Financial World?".

In the teaser, Cha Joo-young makes a nervous entrance, knocking on the door before meeting hosts Yoo Jae-suk and Jo Se-ho. Yoo praises her, saying, "'My Name' has finally come to an end. Were you not born to play Queen Won-gyeong?" To which Cha responds, "Thank you, I received a lot of help to finish this, but I'm sorry, what was the question again?" showcasing her nervousness and humor.

Cha Joo-young, who expressed, "I feel like I'm going to die from nerves," also shared her experience auditioning for 'The Glory'. She humorously recounted, "Every week, it was the same script. Why didn’t they eliminate me sooner?"

Additionally, she revealed that she shares the same age as her co-star Lim Ji-yeon and shared some behind-the-scenes stories from their filming. Expressing her affection for her fans, she mentioned, "I heard the 'Cha Joo-young boom' is coming, and I want to treat them to something delicious during our MT (membership training)."

Cha also plans to discuss her academic background in business management from the U.S. and address rumors about her affluent upbringing in the finance sector. She recounted the challenges she faced convincing her father, who opposed her acting career, saying, "I’ll pay the penalty if you make me quit acting right now," and expressed her determination, stating, "If I’m not successful by thirty, I’ll study. Where should I bet my life? I want to create my own path."
